I called to make an appointment and the woman that answered tried to talk me out of it.... They say they are excepting new patients but don't seem to really want them........
Dr.Cantrell has been my doctor for 13 years and in the last 3 years I have had to visit her office monthly. Not once has she ever passed judgment upon me or treated me unkindly, unlike all the doctors that I had been to see in the past or the Specialists that I have recently seen. Along with her receptionists Martha and Criket and nurse Wanda, they have not only been very compassionate and vital people in bettering my health but I also see them as a type of family. Dr. Cantrell doesn't speak down to you, she treats everyone as equals, doesn't demean your intellect or sugar coat the truth, she is just a very honest, country doctor who values her patients as she would her own blood. I have grown to have a very close bond and fondness for her and her staff, especially Wanda and her motherly care. The office is run entirely by older women and that combined with the building itself which is more like a home than a cold hospital environment, makes every visit more like being cared for by a house full of loving mothers, aunts and grandmothers ( who tell it like it is and have a no bullshit policy). If you don't like any of those things then I suggest you don't go to see her but I for one will not see anyone else because I love that they are real people who don't try to fake being happy all the time but that also take the time to really care about how you are doing and really want to see you well and treat you like you too are a real person.
Dr. Cantrell, Cricket, Martha and the entire staff are amazing. She has been the only family doctor we have had for 10+ years. Dr. C is very compassionate and has always taken care of all our medical needs. She is awesome!!!
Her office requires a drug test before can you can be treated. That's fine but who knew that I would get a 250.00 bill for a drug test that isn't covered by my insurance. I was thinking maybe 45.00 to 60.00 but I received a bill that was for 250.00. That's after several adjustments of almost $900.00. If her office staff had told me this I would have walked out. The only thing they said is that most insurances cover it but if not I could receive a bill. They told me this as I was about to exit the building after already seeing the doctor and already taking the test. They never even mentioned how much the bill could be. That's something they should disclose before you've been seen by the doctor.
Dr. Cantrell is very understanding and works with me closely to ensure all my concerns are addressed. The office staff have always been very helpful and accommodating. Highly Recommended.
